Stainless steel bearing
Stainless steel bearings, also known as stainless steel bearings, are used wherever there is a risk of corrosion. This means humid air or other media that cause corrosion. Typical applications are in the food and beverage industry, but stainless steel bearings are also used in car washes. The running properties are comparable with ball bearings made of normal rolling bearing steel. Depending on the steel used, the load ratings can be approx. 20 % lower, as stainless steel made from 1.4034 - AISI 420 has a lower hardness than normal bearing steel. If the same service life is required, special steels must be used. Stainless steel bearings are available in a wide variety of series. Stainless steel bearings are most frequently used as deep groove ball bearings. Fröhlich & Dörken has many years of experience, particularly in the food and beverage industry.
The manufacturers have various prefixes and suffixes for stainless steel bearings, such as "S" (FAG) or "W" (SKF).
