    Today, we would like to introduce you to one of our customers who specializes in manufacturing horizontal directional flush drilling rigs. These rigs are used for laying natural gas and distribution networks as well as fiber optic lines and many other applications.
  • Customer problem
    There is a potential hazard to the lubrication nipples that are typically driven into the shaft side. During lubrication, there is a possibility that these nipples could be pushed out, which would result in lubricant leakage. Since this area is not accessible and visible due to the closed housing, such leakage could go unnoticed and lead to failure of the bearing due to insufficient lubrication within a very short time.
  • Solution approach
    The technical challenge was to design the cam follower in such a way that the drive-in grease nipple could not be pushed out by mechanical load during lubrication. Thanks to precise planning and detailed analysis, a solution was found that ensures maximum functionality and reliability.
  • Solution
    An effective solution was found by replacing the impact grease nipple with a thread in the bolt. The grease nipple could now be securely screwed in place, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Customer benefit
    Our new product update not only offers our customers enormous time savings in mounting and lubricating the stud type track roller, but also increases the service life of the bearings. By avoiding grease leakage, a sustainable use of resources and thus a contribution to environmental protection is made. For effective soil compaction on medium-sized areas, the vibratory plate is an indispensable tool in the construction industry. Since the 1950s, it has established itself as standard equipment on many construction sites. There are both independently forward running and reversing machines that are used as needed. Typically, vibratory plates are hand-operated, while road rollers are used for larger areas. For smaller areas, on the other hand, vibratory rammers, also called vibratory tampers, and vibratory screeds are suitable for compacting concrete.

The vibratory plate is a machine driven by one or more shafts with integrated unbalances. These generate both the locomotion and the compaction effect of the vibratory plate through centrifugal force. The centrifugal forces are much higher than the weight of the machine and lift it briefly a few millimeters off the ground with each revolution of the unbalances. This moves the plate forward or backward and compacts the material underneath it with high surface pressure due to the built-up kinetic energy and centrifugal force.
