Spherical roller bearing, sealed
Sealed spherical roller bearings are part of our range.
Spherical roller bearings are equipped with barrel-shaped rollers that act as rolling elements. The inner ring has two raceways, while the outer ring has a hollow spherical raceway. The center of the outer ring raceway is on the bearing axis, which gives these bearings the ability to self-align, similar to a self-aligning ball bearing. They are able to compensate for deformations in the shaft or housing as well as axial inclinations, thus avoiding undesirable forces.
Spherical roller bearings are extremely resilient and can support large radial loads as well as axial loads in both directions. They are particularly suitable for high loads and impact loads. These bearings can also be supplied with conical bores so that they can be mounted directly on conical shafts. Alternatively, they can be mounted on cylindrical shafts using sleeves. They are available with sheet steel or solid brass cages.
