Spherical roller bearing, sealed
Sealed spherical roller bearings are part of our range.
Spherical roller bearings are equipped with barrel-shaped rollers that act as rolling elements. The inner ring has two raceways, while the outer ring has a hollow spherical raceway. The center of the outer ring raceway is on the bearing axis, which gives these bearings the ability to self-align, similar to a self-aligning ball bearing. They are able to compensate for deformations in the shaft or housing as well as axis inclinations, thus avoiding unwanted forces.
Spherical roller bearings are extremely loadable and can support both large radial loads and axial loads in both directions. They are particularly suitable for high loads and shock loads. These bearings can also be supplied with tapered bores for mounting directly on tapered shafts. Alternatively, mounting on cylindrical shafts is possible using sleeves. They are available with sheet steel or solid brass cages.
